The Asia-Pacific Journal of Public Health (APJPH), in collaboration with the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya, successfully organised the workshop “Responsible AI Use in Public Health Writing and Publishing: Maximising Tools and Minimising Biases” on 21 July 2026.
The one-day workshop aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of scientific writing and publishing while addressing the opportunities and challenges associated with the growing use of artificial intelligence (AI) in research.
The workshop featured sessions on scientific writing, publishing, research communication, manuscript preparation, publication strategies, and the responsible use of AI in academic writing. It also included a one-to-one manuscript consultation session with experienced researchers and journal editors.
The workshop brought together researchers, academic staff, and students, reflecting the growing interest in strengthening scientific communication and adapting to emerging technologies in research.
