ECN Launches ‘Reflections’ Photography Competition

The Early Career Network of APACPH is proud to announce an exciting new creative initiative for 2007- the ”REFLECTIONS” photography competition!

We are inviting public health professionals, researchers, staff and students to submit selections of their photographic work, which illustrate the theme of the 2007 APACPH conference Lifestyle Related Disease Prevention: The Challenge for Nutrition and Public Health.

The contest is dedicated to drawing attention to health issues that have a significant global and regional impact. The organizers recognize the ability of photography to convey the great emotional depth and understanding of issues that may often be too difficult to explain or discuss. The competition also seeks to highlight the important contributions to understanding and action made by the photographers through their experience in the field of public health.

The competition is being organized to coincide with the 39th APACPH conference in Japan (21st-25th November 2007) and the photos need to be a ”reflection” of at least one of the themes of the 9 parallel sessions of the conference.
