Geographic Information system (GIS) in Public Health for Healthcare professionals and researchers using Q-GIS and R statistics software

The Universiti Kuala Lumpur-Royal College of Medicine Perak (UniKL RCMP) will be organising the Geographic Information system (GIS) in Public Health for Healthcare professionals and researchers using Q-GIS and R statistics software on the 21st and 22nd November 2018 at UniKL RCMP, No 3, Jalan Greentown, Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia 30450.

Objective

At the end of the course, participants will be able to

  1. Get introduced to the concepts of Medical Geographic Information System (GIS) and its wide applications in disease surveillance, public health/healthcare research, disease prevention and control.
  2. Acquire hands-on experience in developing their own maps and linking the healthcare/public health-related information to the global maps available, through hands-on sessions using Q-GIS and R statistics which are open-source software.
