We are pleased to announce the commencement of the APACPH Election 2026.
This year’s election will be held for the following position:
Vice President 2
Role: Oversee education and research-relevant activities.
Term: 1 year*
*Note: The term of the Second Vice President to be elected in the APACPH Election 2026 is one (1) year. The term is not two (2) years for this position because no candidate was nominated for this position in the APACPH Election 2025, and the term has already passed for one (1) year as of the date of the upcoming APACPH Election 2026.
Who can vote?
The right to vote shall be granted only to active member institutions that have fully paid their membership fees for the current year at least three months prior to the election date.
Who can be nominated?
- A candidate must be a natural person affiliated with an Institutional Member;
- A candidate must have actively engaged in the Association’s activities for a minimum of five years;
- A candidate must be affiliated with an active member institution that has fully paid their membership fee for at least the last five years, including having paid their membership fee for the current year at least three months prior to the election date.
Regarding the requirements for nomination, please refer to the APACPH Constitution.
Voting Process
Part of the voting process has been modified after facing difficulties in the voting process during the COVID-19 pandemic period. Voting will take place on-site and online at the General Assembly on 21 October 2026, using an online voting tool.
Procedure
The deadline for nomination is 25 September 2026.
A candidate is asked to complete the Nomination Form and a one-page Campaign document before the deadline.

Please send the completed forms to shibanuma@m.u-tokyo.ac.jp by 25 September 2026 so that the Election Committee can circulate them to eligible member institutions using a mailing list.
