The APACPH Executive Council Meeting (1/2026) was successfully held on 5 February 2026 at the National Health Research Institutes (NHRI), Zhunan, Taiwan, in a hybrid format, allowing both in-person and virtual participation.
The meeting was chaired by the APACPH President, Prof Dr Hung-Yi Chiou and attended by 15 Executive Council members and Secretariat representatives. The Council reviewed key organisational updates, including officers’ reports, regional and network activities, and updates from the Asia-Pacific Journal of Public Health.
A key agenda item focused on conference matters, during which the host institution for the 57th APACPH Conference 2026, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan, presented a progress update on conference planning and preparations. The Executive Council noted the updates and provided guidance to support ongoing preparations. Discussions also included preliminary planning for future APACPH conferences and a review of conference host selection guidelines.
The meeting concluded with closing remarks and appreciation to all Executive Council members and participants for their active contributions and continued commitment to advancing APACPH’s mission across the Asia-Pacific region.
