2025 APACPH Election Results Announced

The Asia-Pacific Academic Consortium for Public Health (APACPH) successfully conducted its 2025 Election during the General Assembly held at Mae Fah Luang University, Thailand, on 4 November 2025. Voting took place from 9:30 to 10:30 AM through ElectionBuddy, an online platform ensuring confidentiality and transparency in the electoral process.

A Transparent and Participatory Election

Out of 59 active member institutions, 28 participated in the election to fill three key Executive Council positions: President-Elect, Secretary General, and Vice President 1. Voting was conducted and verified by three members of the Election Committee, ensuring that all procedures adhered to APACPH’s governance principles.

Both the President-Elect and Secretary General candidates secured more than 50% of the verified votes, while the candidate for Vice President 1 was elected based on receiving the highest number of votes. The position of Vice President 2 will remain vacant for one year.

The newly elected officers are:

  • Vice President 1: Prof. Elahe NezamiUniversity of Miami, USA

The Election Committee officially announced the results during the General Assembly. The elected members will assume their respective roles immediately following the Annual APACPH Conference this year.
