APACPH Conference 2020 – in the news

The Asia-Pacific Academic Consortium for Public Health Conference 2020 was highlighted in Sri Lanka’s Daily FT newspaper. The APACPH Conference 2020 will be a Hybrid three-day conference from 7-9 December. The conference is organised by the APACPH with collaboration from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka Medical Association (SLMA) and Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB).

The APACPH Conference 2020 will be a hybrid conference, with face-to-face participatns in Sri Lanka and around 250 international public health professionals joining through virtual platforms. The venue for the face-to-face conference will be held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Sri Lanka.

The conference is set to address the newly emerged global healthcare challenges including COVID-19 pandemic, adapting to the new norm, rapid growth of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), the threat of antimicrobial resistance, and the ethics in delivering public health services in a timely and effective manner.

The Chairman for the conference is APACPH Vice President Professor Indika Karunathilake who also current the Sri Lanka Medical Association (SLMA) President.
