Message from Secretary General Dr.Walter Patrick

Dear APACPH Colleagues,

The strength of our 81 member University Network in 23 countries is the vitality and uniqueness of our member contributions.

Their ability to address issues that are often neglected has made change and improvement in the lives of vulnerable populations possible.

One outstanding example is reported here. The work done by our member, KITT University – Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) in Bhubaneswar Orissa India – for the upliftment of the indigenous people is a historic achievement. The founder president Dr. Achyutananda Samanta is highlighted in the Readers Digest February 2013. KITT University in partnership with APACPH is planning to set up The Global School of Indigenous Health.

KISS-of-Life

The work done by Dr. Samanta for the promotion of peace and harmony among the untouchable segments of the population in India and globally was acknowledged by APACPH in the PEACE & HEALTH Award in 2011.We wish to acknowledge the challenging work KITT is involved in and congratulate Dr. Samanta in persevering against formidable difficulties.
