The 5th Meeting of the Technical Advisory Group on Universal Health Coverage in the Western Pacific Region meeting started today and will continue until 18 November 2021. It was held virtually from the World Health Organization (WHO) Western Pacific Regional Office in Manila, the Philipines. The WHO Regional Director Dr Takeshi Kasai delivered the opening address and it was followed by the welcome remarks by Professor Gillian Biscoe the Chair of the WHO Western Pacific Region Technical Advisory Group on Universal Health Coverage. Professor Dr Ng Chiu Wan from the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya attended the meeting to represent the Asia-Pacific Academic Consortium for Public Health (APACPH).
