Inaugural African Diaspora Woman Summit

The Inaugural African Diaspora Woman Summit with the theme “Celebrating African Women, Their Voices’ will be held on the 26th and 27th June 2017 at the Victoria University Convention Centre in Melbourne. It is organised by the Victoria University a APACPH Member Institution.

The aim of the summit is to bring together service providers, professionals, NGOs, educators, business leaders, entrepreneurs in the diaspora (Australia, Asia Pacific, Europe, the America’s) and mainland Africa to share experiences targeted at women emancipation focusing on the African women and girl child. And to further, to discuss and share experiences, strategies and opportunities with and for women in areas of health, leadership, finance and personal development. It’s about women irrespective of race celebrating with and empowering fellow women, the wider society and to an extent other Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Communities (CALD).

The outcomes from the summit will include: a Summit Declaration, Knowledge Gaps For Research & Policy Proposals.
